Make your own Mindful Runes

The Act of Creation
There's nothing quite so exquisite as the feeling which accompanies the act of creation. For this reason, creating your own Mindful Runes© can be a most pleasurable project.

And, of course, the resulting Runes will be entirely individual and special to you. Even if you don’t consider yourself to be artistic, you can still have a go, remembering that there is no such thing as perfect.

Each pebble, stone, piece of wood, lump of clay, nugget of resin or quality card is a blank canvas which you bedeck with a symbolic image in your own style. You have complete leeway to develop a set of Runes that is unique to you.

Choose Your Rune Form
The first thing to decide is what type of Runes suit you best. You may like the idea of using suitable wooden pieces on which to carve or paint the runic symbols.

Making a beautiful deck of Rune Cards is a popular option – one side of all 25 cards will be the same, so choose an image with special meaning for you. However, for the purposes of this website, I am going to describe the creation of pebble Runes.
