(17) Aspiration - Dream Crown

image

Be the crowned champion of your hopes, aims and ambitions, even your wildest dreams, and find ways to bring them into reality.

A clear vision of 'what might be' and 'what can be' in future is called for, devoid of grandiose expectations. Whatever you aspire to be or to do, your mission requires enthusiastic drive and motivation - now is the time!
It is healthy to have aspirations for a flourishing future, albeit within the context of your weaknesses and strengths. The Rune of Aspiration offers a clear indication of the need to take a candid look at how best to develop your talents and skills to recognise and seize opportunities.

Albert Camus remarked: "real generosity towards the future lies in giving it all to the present." How true this is when it comes to your aspirations because, unless you put effort into the groundwork right now, your hopes and dreams will remain just that – hopes and dreams.

Where there is vision there is possibility. This Rune inspires you to focus attention on specific ambitions or goals that you wish to accomplish as part of your vision for the future.

Let yourself feel you are on a mission with a purpose. Thereafter you make a commitment to harness your willpower and hone your process planning skills as you start on the aspirational path - nothing ventured, nothing gained.

What would you like to be, to do, to feel, to accomplish, to be remembered for? Obviously your aspirations are entirely personal to you, but a few examples may help to get you thinking.

Perhaps see yourself developing a new skill, studying for extra qualifications, starting a business, writing a book, popular blogging, learning to dance, travelling, doing charity work, meeting a soulmate, getting physically fit, designing a website, cooking exotic foods, visiting elderly people, helping others with their aspirations.

Maybe the Rune of Aspiration can stimulate you to pursue a longed-for goal which you have already acknowledged but have so far failed to act.

There are always seemingly good reasons to put your dreams on hold. You may be too busy being busy - work, family, internet, social demands on your time - are you quite sure you have the right priorities?

Perhaps you feel overwhelmed by the enormity or complexity of your aspirational endeavour. Lao Tzu says: "the longest journey starts with a single step."

If you’re brave enough to claim your crown by taking the first step, followed by another and another, your aspirations will be tomorrow’s successful ventures.

This Rune is a member of The Formative Set embracing aptitudes with a profound influence on your personal development and achievements.

"Within our dreams and aspirations we find our opportunities." Sus Atchley Ebaugh
